They quickly forge an enviable international reputation in the area of climbing and alpinism. The Sherpas exposed to high altitudes for many generations, would have developped some specific adaptations capabilities to extreme conditions. They are told to be courageous, indefatigable, even in the worst conditions. Their playful and laughing temperament is well appreciated by the alpinists and the trekkers. Furthermore they are highly spoken for their loyalty. Events where Sherpas risked their life for rescueing partners in distress on high summits are numerous.
